Friday, June 7th 1p-6p & Saturday, June 8th 10a-6p
Build your own medallion quilt from the center out with Erin Burke Harris. In this hands-on class, learn all the skills you need to make a successful medallion quilt. Using Erin’s book, Make Your Own Medallion, you’ll select blocks and borders to add to a medallion of your choosing. The class will explore how scale, fabric prints, shapes and colors come together to make a successful medallion quilt. Erin will help you tackle all the quilt math necessary and teach you how to achieve perfect fitting borders. You’ll leave with a good start on your medallion quilt and a plan on how to finish it.
Students must come to class with a center medallion already made to use as the starting point of their quilt. This can be as simple as a 12” finished quilt block. Erin will provide a few options, but you are welcome to choose something of your own.
This workshop is best for intermediate sewers who have some basic quilt piecing experience.
