Fall is here, and what better way to keep cozy during those chilly mornings and evenings than with a handmade kimono? Our Cozy Kimono is a snap to make, a delight to wear, and we guarantee yours will be uniquely one of a kind! In this 4 hour class, Michelle will show you how to cut and construct your own thigh-length kimono, giving tips on choosing fabric, accurate cutting, and simple seam finishes.
Ages 16+ (we are happy to consider younger students on a case-by-case basis - if you are under 16 and would like to take this class, please email firstname.lastname@example.org). While prior garment experience is not required to take this class, you must be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine. Don't know how to use a sewing machine? Take our Sewing Machine Basics class!
Class fee includes:
4.5 hours of instruction
Use of our cutting, marking and measuring tools
Use of our Janome sewing machines
Use of our Kimono pattern (30.5” - 44” bust) (pattern is available for in-class use. If you would like to trace the pattern for future makes, please plan on arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for tracing)
