Garment Basics: Skirt

35.00

Tuesday, March 21st, 6-9pm

Spend three hours with our talented friend and wonderful teacher, Lauren Taylor, and leave with a beautiful new skirt!  This is a great introduction to garment sewing, because the fit is flattering yet relaxed and the pattern is suitable for many fabric types.  Lauren will teach you how to accurately cut and skirt with a fixed waistband in front & elastic in back, and also how to adjust to the pattern for a custom fit & length.

By popular demand, we have added an INTERMEDIATE option to this class! If you have taken this skirt class before, join us again and learn how to add pockets! Lauren will teach you how to flawlessly insert in-seam pockets to your skirt (or any garment of your choice), which will elevate your skirt to be not only gorgeous, but also gorgeously functional!

Class includes:

  • 3 hours of instruction
  • Use of our cutting, marking, and measuring tools
  • Use of our Janome sewing machines
  • Use of our skirt pattern
  • Water & Snacks
  • 15% off all your materials on class day
