Sewing Techniques: Smocking

Learn to smock! Smocking is an 3D embroidery technique and a wonderful way to add a unique twist to your textile design. In this class, you'll learn how to create a honey comb smocking stitch which you'll be able integrate into projects of your choice. This class is perfect for the absolute beginner - no hand or machine sewing skills necessary.

Supplies needed (available in our shop!): 

  • fabric of choice (max. 1 yard needed)
  • embroidery thread
  • embroidery needles 
  • individual accessories (zippers, buttons, ribbons etc. they might want to use for the project)

Class includes:

  • 3 hours of instruction
