Sewing Basics: Beach Tote

Sewing Basics: Beach Tote

Tuesday, June 6th, 6-9pm

Spend 3 hours with the amazing sewing extraordinaire, Lauren Taylor, and end the evening with a fun tote bag that you'll be proud to bring to the beach (or to the grocery store, or your weekly knitting night - this bad boy is useful in multiple situations!).  The fully-lined bag features a handy front pocket, is nice and roomy to hold all your necessities for the day, and the straps go all the way around the bottom - making it super sturdy as well! This is a great class if you are a total beginner or just need a refresh at the sewing machine.

Class includes:

  • 3 hours of instruction
  • Use of our cutting, marking, and measuring tools
  • Use of our Janome sewing machines & thread
  • Water & Snacks
  • 15% off all your materials on class day

Please bring the following materials (come to class a little early so we can help you pick them out!):

  • 1 yard of 44-45" wide woven fabric for tote top
  • 1/4 yard of 44-45" wide woven fabric for tote bottom
  • 1 yard of 44-45" wide woven fabric for tote lining
  • 4 yards 1" cotton webbing for straps
  • 1 yard medium to heavy weight woven interfacing
