Sewing For Children: Iris Dress

Saturday, June 10th, 1-5pm

Spend four hours with our skilled sewist and wonderful teacher, Michelle Abegg, and leave with the cutest dress for that sweet little girl in your life!  Kid-sized clothes are a great introduction to garment sewing - the small scale makes them so quick to sew! Michelle will teach you how read and follow a sewing pattern, flawlessly attach bias trim, and make a sweet button back opening.

Please bring the following materials:

  • Iris dress pattern from Green Bee Patterns
  • Fabric in the appropriate yardage for your child's size (please see sizing chart for yardage recommendations)
  • 1/2 yard woven fabric for contrast and bias
  • One 3/8" - 5/8" button
  • Embroidery floss or pearl cotton for back button loop
  • Matching thread
