*We used her bold and graphic palette to help us choose some supporting prints that fall right in line, but add some warmth and charm.
*Our final four block quilt (64" x 64") arranges two solid blocks diagonally from each other, leaving the remaining two blocks to be echoing and unique 4 print palettes.
*We also upsized the block itself, doubling it, for a finished 32" block, instead of a finished 16". This simply allows you to get to a bigger quilt sooner with the same amount of piecework.
*Heather's Creativebug class offers really great advice on getting accurate cutting and seaming and provides the entire layout and cut list for each block.
*To upsize as we did, where Heather asks you to cut 3" squares, rather cut 5" squares. And where Heather asks you to cut 2.5" squares, rather cut 4.5" squares. Marking those changes on her PDF pattern will allow you to follow along with her in all the cutting, seaming and final color arrangement.
